OPINION
Tottenham fans really do not like Ben Davies. The left-back was quality for Spurs last season but he has been somewhat of a scapegoat among some supporters this term – and that did not change in the North London derby. Davies got off to a shaky start against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday. The Wales international is not the most defensive-minded of full-backs and that was found out pretty quickly by the Gunners as they attacked down his side of the pitch. However when getting forward Davies was very good and he helped create space and open up opportunities for Spurs’ attackers. It is clear that a section of Tottenham fans will jump on Davis straight away if he gets something wrong. He got something wrong early against Arsenal and that was it, there was no redemption for him in the eyes of those who are not fans of the former Swansea man.
