OPINION
Rangers centre-back Nikola Katic has been demoted to the Rangers reserves today after not featuring in the first-team for the past five games, and fans aren’t happy.
He was named in the line-up to face Hearts on Monday after Rangers fans were left asking where he was after he was dropped from the squad entirely for the game against Hamilton on Sunday.
The consensus is that he was playing well at the start of the season after his £2million move and that fans can’t believe Joe Worrall was named on the bench ahead of him.
Gareth McAuley and Connor Goldson have become the regular centre-back pairing for Steven Gerrard, although he has swapped those positions a lot this season.
Katic played 90 minutes in each of the first six league games of the season but has only made two Premiership appearances since.

It will be interesting to see how he plays today and whether he’ll be involved midweek when the first team play Hibs on Wednesday.
