COMMENTARY
It might have been Alfredo Morelos who saved Rangers’ blushes against St Johnstone but the Ibrox faithful have all been left drooling on Twitter over the impact that young Glenn Middleton made off the bench. The fringe figure might have only been given 45 minutes to show what he has got to offer the first team but he took his chance with both hands, delivering a super ball for Morelos’ header and bringing an imeptus to the side which had been drastically lacking in the first half. He might only be 18-years-old but he evidently has plenty to bring to the side and it is why he is one of Gerrard’s regular substitutions. With the poor performances of some of his teammates on Sunday, you can expect to see much more of the youngster over the coming weeks. This was not a vintage Rangers performance and there are definitely changes that need to be made
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:
Clue for Tav and Candieas there.. Middleton actually looked up to see where Morelos was to put the cross in, it wasn’t just blindly struck.

Goldson has had a poor game but that's a really good forward pass into Middleton. Excellent cross from young Glenn, Morelos sticks it away.
