Lawrence Shankland would be a superb addition to the Rangers attack in the January transfer window, especially with Steven Gerrard’s men struggling to score when Alfredo Morelos is not on the pitch. Shankland, 24, has been a goal machine for Ayr United in the Scottish Championship this season. He has scored a whopping 27 goals in 23 appearances across all competitions, four of which came in the 5-0 hammering of Dundee United last month. Although the former Scotland Under-21 international is blitzing the goals in the second-tier, he would be more than good enough to be a back-up option for Morelos at Ibrox. Many Rangers fans have exactly the same idea as it makes perfect sense to sign a striker who is in such good form and likely available for a small fee because of Ayr’s stature. Gerrard is bound to sign a new striker next month, let’s hope that it is Shankland.

Shankland imo is worth a try, as long as its a reasonable fee, as for doc, he knows what Rangers are about and what pulling the shirt on means. If he would be playing then bring him back, but no point in him warming the bench, as for pena ?,
