Wolverhampton Wanderers return to action following their magnificent victory over Chelsea in mid-week with a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday.

Wolves secured a phenomenal 2-1 win over the Blues on Wednesday and will hope to keep the ball rolling by securing all three points at St James’ Park.

Nuno Espirito Santo sprung a surprise with a few changes at Molineux last time out, and he must think about who to keep in the line up after Wednesday’s win.

The former Porto boss would be well advised to make three alterations, with that surely being enough to overcome the Magpies. Ryan Bennett, Romain Saiss and Joao Moutinho should all drop out, with Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Neves and Adama Traore coming in.

Rui Patricio has been one of the stars of the season for Nuno’s side and must keep his place in goal, while Matt Doherty is a sure-fire starter at right wing back, with Ruben Vinagre likely to continue with Jonny still out injured on the left.

Nuno has kept faith with a standard back three of Bennett, Conor Coady and Willy Boly, but the former should miss out against the Magpies. Dendoncker has waited patiently for his chance and it’s time to see what the highly-rated Belgian can do.

Neves missed out in mid-week but should be welcomed back on Tyneside, with his compatriot Moutinho dropping out. The 113-cap international has played a lot of football this term and should be given a rest after featuring on Wednesday. The exciting Morgan Gibbs-White should partner Neves in the middle of midfield.

Diogo Jota finally got on the scoresheet against Chelsea and that strike will give him enough grace to secure a start here. Raul Jimenez was also on target and will surely continue to lead the line. Saiss should drop out for Traore, who needs to be given a run of games to find his feet at Molineux.
