West Ham confirmed via their official website that Mark Noble had agreed to a contract extension which would tie him to the club until 2021. While a section of Hammers fans were thrilled that their captain was staying for the foreseeable future, but that they all wanted to see Declan Rice follow suit. Several Hammers supporters tweeting asking the club to sort out a new deal for the defensive midfielder now that Noble had his contract sorted, with one simply say it’s time. It’s easy to see why fans want Rice’s future sorted out beyond a shadow of a doubt as the 19-year-old has been one of the best performers in Manuel Pellegrini’s current squad this season as he consistently delivers the goods. The Metro UK previously shared that Chelsea were sniffing about the Hammers player in case a new contract for him isn’t sorted and that shows that supporters of Pellegrini’s side have a right to demand the club act regarding Rice.
