COMMENTARY
West Ham attacker Lucas Perez arrived at the London Stadium from Arsenal in the summer and his latest display already had many Hammers fans claiming they had already seen enough. The 30-year-old forward started the game leading the line for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and was even gifted a clear cut-chance to score in the first-half. Yet Perez completely scuffed his effort and this saw several Hammers fans from there on in start to vent their frustration over watching him play. One claimed they’d seen enough of the forward to last a life time during the 2-1 win over Southampton, while another simply tried to convinced themselves that Perez must be amazing in training in order to keep featuring. It’s easy to see why several Hammers fans were vocal with their criticism of Perez as he did struggle against the Saints and his past performances haven’t exactly been filled with joy either. The 30-year-old has only managed to score twice in the league this season and both of those goals came in the same game against Cardiff City.
