Tottenham Hotspur sent a scout to watch FCSB attacking midfielder Dennis Man, according to Digisport.

The Romanian outlet claims that a Spurs representative was in the stands recently to watch the 20-year-old in action, but was foiled in his attempts.

Heavy fog on the day of the game meant the match was postponed, with the Tottenham scout having to leave Romania with his watching brief incomplete.

Digisport’s report claims that Manchester United are also interested in the player, while Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Italian outfit Roma are considering a move as well.

Good move for Tottenham?

Man certainly seems to be a talent worth tracking. He’s been a hugely important player for FCSB this season. However he does play in a position where Spurs are rather well stocked. Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Son Heung-min are all naturals on the wing, while Dele Alli can operate there as well. However, Man’s youth and obvious talent might make a move for him necessary despite that. He has scored seven times and registered three assists in 22 games in all competitions for the Romanian giants this season, excellent levels of production for such a young player. He’s clearly got huge potential so, yes, it might be worth Spurs making a move.

Likely to happen?

There would obviously be intense competition for the youngster, meaning that Tottenham might not be able to get a deal done. United can simply open their chequebook in an attempt to entice Man, while Roma would make sense as a good stepping stone club for him. It would certainly be difficult for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to bring him in, that’s for sure.
