Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get back on track with a New Year’s Day win over Cardiff City on Tuesday, and Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make three changes to his starting lineup.

Spurs travel to south Wales on the back of a stunning 3-1 defeat by Wolves at Wembley on Saturday, with the visitors fighting back from a goal down to snap their five-game winning streak.

Cardiff will come into this one full of confidence after a last-gasp winner from Victor Camarasa secured their first away win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Leicester.

In goal, Hugo Lloris is expected to retain his place.

There are two changes expected in defence with full-backs Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies dropped in favour of Kyle Walker-Peters and Danny Rose, while Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez are expected to keep their spots in the centre.

Despite showing signs of fatigue on Saturday both Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks are likely to retain their places in midfield, with Pochettino struggling with injuries in that area.

One more change is expected in attack, with speed demon Lucas Moura likely to come into the side for off-colour mainstay Dele Alli, while Son Heung-min, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane keep their places.
