OPINION
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino made a bold decision on Saturday as he left both Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen on the bench against Leicester at the King Power Stadium, but that move was vindicated as they emerged comfortable 2-0 winners. There was a worry that Spurs would be underpowered up front without that key duo, but players like Dele Alli and Son Heung-min stepped up really well to carry them through. Both men scored on the night, but it was Alli who stole the show as he toyed with the Foxes defence. His back-post header was actually his 50th goal for Tottenham, which is a mightily impressive feat considering he is still just 22 years old. Very few players have scored that number of goals at such a young age at the highest level, and it just goes to show how talented he really is. Should he continue at this rate then there is no reason why Alli cannot go on to become a bona fide world star for Tottenham in the years to come.

Dele was unplayable today. Playing on a different level, drifting effortlessly between the channels & lines. Pure natural talent who just finds space & does tricks you really only notice when replayed. Absolute golden boy. #thfc #coys

Dembele, Lamela, Sanchez, Wanyama all injured.
5 fresh players vs Southampton, another 5 tonight vs Leicester. But our squad isn’t deep enough.

Really professional job from Spurs. Not an easy fixture and pressure on from earlier results. Dele outstanding – really stepped up in the absence of Kane and Eriksen. #THFC #COYS
