Former Tottenham Hotspur great Graham Roberts has drooled over the trio of Son Heung-Min, Moussa Sissoko and Kyle Walker-Peters after the win against Bournemouth on Wednesday.

Heung-Min scored a brace, while Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane also contributed towards the scoreline in this thumping of the Cherries at Wembley Stadium.

Roberts had nothing but good words to say about the three players on his personal Twitter account: “Absolutely superb Son on [fire] and again my man Moussa Sissoko all over the pitch! Well done to Kyle Walker-Peters too.”

OPINION

Roberts is absolutely spot on to heap praise on these three players in the way that he has. Heung-Min has been superb recently and has been lethal in terms of goals, and he will no doubt be pivotal over whether Spurs will finish in the Premier League top four this season. He is one of the players who has proved that Mauricio Pochettino does not need to sign anymore players in January – why would he? If Heung-Min maintains these high standards, then Tottenham will be laughing. That is not to discount the contribution the other players as well. Lucas Moura has had a stellar season so far after being relegated to the bench for the majority of the last campaign, and as for Moussa Sissoko – he is definitely out doing himself so far. Spurs are serious top four contenders this term and they have certainly proved anyone who slammed them for their lack of transfer activity in the summer.
