OPINION
Everton boss Marco Silva has been dropping Kurt Zouma recently for summer signing Yerry Mina in the last few games, and on the whole, it has worked. Nevertheless, despite these fans raving about the centre-back, the Toffees were not as good defensively in this 2-2 draw with Watford. Mina may have been one of the only positives to take away from this result, which was summed up by one fan saying that he was the “best player on the pitch”. Yes, admittedly he was lucky not to be sent off after a foul that arguably warranted a second yellow card, but some of these fans obviously did not seem to mind that. While he is a “class” defender like one supporter said, he needs to be a lot more careful when making fouls, as not all referees will be as lenient as they were on Monday. Overall, it was a largely positive display from Mina.

Expecting to win and mass sulking led to that tonight, Mina having to rouse Coleman was very telling. Only Keane, Pickford & Mina with any heart for me tonight. Sigurdsson looked like he’d rather be anywhere else. Ah well, only City next. #EVEWAT #efc #Everton
