Jorge Mendes has proposed a move to Juventus for Wolves star Ruben Neves in January, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet report that Mendes now enjoys a strong relationship with the Serie A champions after previously being in a ‘cold war’ with the giants, and is now attempting to broker a January deal for Neves.

Calciomercato claim that Mendes has been in contact with Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici about the deal, which could take place in the upcoming window.

Good move for Wolves?

Absolutely not.

Neves is a key player for Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolves, and to let him leave half way through their first season in the Premier League would be a ridiculously bad move.

The Portugal international has not quite lit up the top-flight yet, but his performance in the middle of the park still make him a crucial cog in the Wolves engine.

Obviously the club could demand a big fee for him, but letting him leave in January would be a poor decision regardless of money.

Likely to happen?

Despite Mendes’ involvement, you would still think this is highly unlikely.

Wolves will be desperate to keep hold of Neves, and just as importantly, there is no indication from the player himself that he would like to leave.
