COMMENTARY
Chelsea may have defeated Watford 2-1 on Boxing Day but a large section of Blues supporters still found away to be furious during the game. This was because many Chelsea fans were left unimpressed by the latest display of defender Antonio Rudiger with one questioning what had happened to him. The 25-year-old clearly could have done more to stop Roberto Pereyra scoring for the Hornets in order to put Chelsea’s victory in doubt during the match as the centre-back seemed to create the opportunity for his opponents by being clumsy when attempting to clear the ball from the danger zone. While the Blues did get the win, it’s easy to see why loads of supporters opted to be so vocal with their criticism of Rudiger as more often than not other fans are always quick to jump on the likes of David Luiz or Gary Cahill even when they make the smallest of mistake. While Rudiger has regularly been a consistent performer for the Blues, his downturn in form as of late has been really noticeable.
