Juventus could offer Manchester United Alex Sandro as part of any deal to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin, according to reports from Tutto Mercato Web.

The Bianconeri are supposedly considering including the full-back in any offer they make for the World Cup winner.

United have been linked with the 27-year-old before and, according to the Italian outlet, the Reds sent scouts to watch the Brazilian during Juventus’ shock 2-1 defeat to Young Boys on Wednesday night.

Speculation over Pogba’s future in England continues, with the midfielder failing to start three of United’s last four Premier League matches amid persistent rumours surrounding his tumultuous relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.

Sandro has won the Italian league three times with Juventus.

Good move for United?

It looks increasingly likely that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United at some point in the relatively near future. Whereas once it felt as if it would be a case of him or Jose Mourinho, now his departure seems like an inevitability regardless of his manager’s future. Not too long ago, the prospect of bringing in Alex Sandro as part of Pogba’s leaving probably would have been regarded as a decent softening of the blow by United, with their hunt for a full-back being long and well-documented. Recently, however, Luke Shaw has returned to rampant form and made the left-back position his own. Even at right-back Diogo Dalot has made his breakthrough and Mourinho claims that the young man could be United’s stalwart in that position for the next ten years. Ultimately, United don’t need Sandro.

Likely to happen?

Pogba is seemingly intent on leaving, and a move to Juventus is as likely as any at this stage. Whether or not that will mean United wish to bring in Sandro remains to be seen, but it essentially comes down to a choice between the player or some extra cash. Given the fact that United are prioritising other positions in their recruitment efforts, most prominently a centre-back, it would make sense if they said no to Sandro. This is United, however, a side whose transfer policy in recent years has been to jam in as many big names into their squad as possible with little rhyme or reason. For that reason alone, this deal could be a goer.
