OPINION
Many Arsenal fans are obviously coming towards the end of their tether with Mesut Ozil after the Germany international withdrew from their squad to face Liverpool on Friday. As reported by BBC journalist David Ornstein on Twitter, the midfielder complained of pain in his knee and was withdrawn from the travelling squad by Unai Emery. Ozil had previously returned to their starting lineup and even captained the team against Burnley, but played just 45 minutes in their 1-1 draw with Brighton last time out. Ozil’s injury will be a blow for the Gunners as they prepare for this huge clash against Liverpool, but these fans below seem unimpressed. Ozil is clearly getting on the wrong side of many Arsenal supporters, who are likely growing tired of his inability to influence the big games despite his £300,000-a-week wages. It is not clear whether Emery was planning on starting Ozil on Saturday, but he will have to do without the creative German regardless, and Arsenal will have their work cut out to secure a shock win against the league leaders.
