OPINION
Many Newcastle United fans are fuming – and it is easy to see why. According to the Shields Gazette, Mike Ashley has jetted off on holiday, even though the controversial Magpies owner has recently came out and said that he is close to selling the club before the January transfer window opens. It is understood that Ashley will be away over Christmas, which means that with no bid made for the club, selling up before the New Year is practically impossible unless he is going to be working at a sale while on holiday. Newcastle fans could tell that Ashley was full of lies when he claimed he was close to a sale and yet again, Newcastle fans were right. They need Ashley to get out of St James’ Park as soon as possible, but you know that he won’t be going anywhere for years. Maybe if the Magpies are relegated he’ll go, but there’s not much chance of that happening this season. The Toon Army will be hoping that Ashley was going on holiday from Gatwick Airport.

Is this a surprise to anyone? Yet another pointless year in the life of a Newcastle United fan.

And the hopes of thousands of Newcastle fans dies once again.

Have said from day one this sale talk is nothing but a crude tactic to avert protests & avoid spending money. Ashley gets a free pass from fans & is enabled by large sections of his mates in the press/media. Plus he is making a clean fortune from NUFC. Why on Earth would he sell?

Suprise suprise. Who really fell for his lies anyway. It's just the same all, same all.

His time at @NUFC has been a total farce. He’s clearly not selling, and he won’t buy in January. Bye, bye Rafa at the end of the season. It’s ridiculous!
