OPINION
This is another case of Manchester United looking disjointed and Paul Pogba looking like a far cry from the player he was at Juventus. The France international was dismal again in his team’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Valencia at the Mestalla on Wednesday night. He couldn’t get anything going and he just appeared to completely lack confidence and imagination. He’d get on the ball and would either have no options and seemingly no idea of how to spark this United team into life. The 25-year-old is dying a slow death under manager Jose Mourinho and that was evident once again on Wednesday. The former Juve star looks lost at the minute and, while much of the criticism for that can be given to his manager, he’s simply not producing the goods on the pitch. He needs to reevaluate because what he’s doing right now isn’t working for anyone. He has the quality, we all know that, but he’s not delivering the goods. Something needs to change because, on Wednesday’s evidence, Pogba is firmly in a rut at the moment.
