OPINION
Some Manchester United fans really do have a bizarre opinion on football. Jesse Lingard has been slaughtered by some of his own supporters on Twitter and it is really hard to see why. He has been called a “fool” and a “fraud” by a section of fans, which is really odd considering how well he played in the win against Fulham on Saturday. The England international is just one of those players that people love to hate. He has a big personality, acts quite childish at times and his form is hit and miss. However what you cannot deny is that on his day, Lingard is absolutely quality and is one of the better attacking midfielders in the Premier League. Man United fans need to get behind him rather than making him a scapegoat. He is 25-years-old now and about to hit the prime of his career. Lingard could be the key to United getting themselves back in the title race over the next few years.

Disagree with Lingard… to me he doesn’t add anything through the middle… seems so wrong to have Mata wide and Jesse through the middle

I agree, but that's because Pogba is played as one of our two holding mids. That's a mistake. Lingard has been poor in his free role, why not use Pogba? Definitely the better player and attacker
