OPINION
Adam Forshaw is always going to be someone who is open to criticism from fans because the role he plays at Leeds United is hardly a glamorous one – and that is probably why a section of fans have annihilated him for his display against QPR on Saturday. Forshaw is hardly someone who you would describe as a playmaker. He sits in front of the backline, offers protection and moves the ball onto players who are much more technically gifted like Samuel Saiz or Mateusz Klich. It is fair to say that he was a bit shaky in the first-half but after the break he definitely improved and helped the Whites go from one goal down to one goal up. Forshaw looks likely to be a mainstay of Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the coming weeks because of the fixture pile-up and injuries plaguing the defence. It’s time for the Leeds fans to get behind the ex-Middlesbrough man rather than slamming him on Twitter, which seems like a weekly occurrence now.
