OPINION
What a huge, huge blow for Lewis Cook and for Bournemouth. Fair play to the Leeds United fans who have offered their support to the former Elland Road favourite, who has been ruled out of action for up to nine months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament. It is the kind of injury that used to end players’ careers, but hopefully Cook is able to come back from this and continue developing towards the potential that every Leeds fan know he has. The midfielder has been in great form for Bournemouth this season in the Premier League and there is no doubt that he will continue to earn caps for England in the future. Leeds have been hit by a lot of injuries problems themselves this season, so some of the reaction from their supporters was to joke about the connection between Elland Road and Cook. As one fan jokes, you cannot blame Marcelo Bielsa’s rigorous training for this one.
Lewis Cook has ruptured his ACL and will now miss six-to-nine months.

That’ll definitely delay his inevitable transfer to a top 4 club.
