OPINION
Leeds United fans need to learn to ignore whatever noise comes out of Villa Park, because it is usually a load of nonsense. Dean Smith has talked up his side’s ability to score goals against the likes of West Brom and Stoke – two teams his side have failed to win against this month. He has also fired a bit of a warning against Leeds, saying that his side will score against them when the two sides meet at Villa Park on Sunday. Smith’s claims are completely unsubstantiated. Villa have drawn blanks against teams far worse than Leeds this season and he misses out the vital fact, which is that his defence leaks goals on a regular basis. Leeds conceded four to West Brom in November but since then they have kept four clean sheets in five games. Villa will not win this game on Sunday and Smith will be made to look like a complete fool when these fans bring up these “cocky” and “smug” comments that he has made.
