Leeds best possible XI v Bolton

OPINION

Leeds might have won four on the bounce to keep up their charge at the top of the Championship but they were far from convincing against QPR last time out.

And, although it goes against Bielsa’s nature, he really should consider two changes for the game against Bolton on Saturday.

Bolton are one spot off the bottom of the Championship and absolutely ripe for Leeds to get into them.

We’d love to see Patrick Bamford get his first start on Saturday – he proved he was ready when he scored a hat-trick for the Under-23s on Tuesday.

However, Kemar Roofe scored a brace to beat QPR, including a very rare Leeds penalty, and he holds his place. If he blanks by half-time though we want to see Bamford come on and show us what he can do.

On the left, 26-year-old Ezgjan Alioski should make way for Jack Clarke after a string of poor performances, and Samu Saiz should keep his place in attack.

Kalvin Phillips must move back into the defensive midfield position, which means young centre-back Aapo Halme coming in after a nervy display against Sheffield United.

Adam Forshaw is the unlucky fall guy – he’s played well but Saiz has won his first-team place back and Leeds need him.

This is the starting XI that will be way too strong for Bolton:
