Graham Roberts has shared a stunning image of the new Tottenham stadium as speculation continues about when Spurs will be able to return to their home at White Hart Lane.

The Tottenham fans failed to show up in force yet again on Saturday when they beat Burnley 1-0, with only 41,645 supporters making their way to Wembley.

And amid a feeling of homesickness among the fans, Spurs legend Roberts has now visited the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, saying that the 62,000-seater facility is “amazing” via his personal Twitter account.

OPINION

Tottenham fans cannot wait to return to their true home at White Hart Lane. It was made clear in the games against Southampton and Burnley, where attendances were very low, that the supporters are sick of playing at Wembley now, and you get the sense that the feeling might be coming across to the players as well. Spurs really struggled to break down Burnley on Saturday as they had to wait until stoppage time for Christian Eriksen to score the one and only goal in the 1-0 win. Could it be that the players are going into home games a bit fed up now? Or was it just one of those games where Mauricio Pochettino’s side failed to perform at their best? Either way, Tottenham fans have shown in their numbers that they want the club to sort out the new stadium as soon as possible. Hopefully it will be open in time for their Champions League knock-out fixtures in February.
