Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Everton forward Richarlison, even though the Brazil international only moved to Merseyside in the summer, according to Goal Brazil.

The news outlet claims that Richarlison, 21, could end up having a short-winded spell at Goodison Park as Chelsea eye up the former Watford star, who cost the Toffees £40million earlier this year.

Since re-uniting with Marco Silva on Merseyside, Richarlison has scored six goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Good move for Everton?

Richarlison is only going to get better and better every year he is at Everton, so selling him in the near future would be a huge mistake by the Merseyside club.

Silva obviously has a knack of getting the best out of the Brazilian attacker, who has already developed into one of the most important players at Goodison Park.

He cost the Toffees £40million in the summer, so it would take an astronomical sum of money for Silva to even think about letting him leave the club so soon.

It would not be terrible to make a lot of money off Richarlison, but he could be worth so much more in the future.

Likely to happen?

Chelsea can monitor Richarlison all they like but the chances are that Everton have no interest in selling him so soon after buying him from Watford.

Richarlison has hit the ground running with the Toffees and according to Goal Brazil, he views Silva as a father-like figure.

Splitting the pair up won’t be easy. Maybe Roman Abramovich should hire Silva when Maurizio Sarri is eventually sacked in the future.
