Tottenham have had a great start to the season when you consider the fitness issues they’ve had to put up with. They’ve lost Mousa Dembele, Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli, Kieran Trippier, Victor Wanyama, Hugo Lloris and Christian Eriksen at various points this season, with some still out injured. Eriksen missed two games against Huddersfield and Cardiff, and has only made cameo appearances since, not even making it off the bench in the 1-0 win against Crystal Palace. That meant that Tottenham fans were watching Monday night’s international game against the Republic of Ireland through their fingers. The game finished 0-0, leaving Eriksen’s Denmark on top of their table, but many Spurs fans were concerned after their star man was withdrawn at half-time. There’s been no word of an injury but Spurs fans are fearing the worst and took to Twitter to express their frustrations, with a crucial home game against Chelsea coming up on Saturday.
