OPINION
Premier League side Wolves have been hit with the shattering blow that 24-year-old left-back Jonny Otto is likely to be out for six weeks after suffering knee ligament damage in the Spain international against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday. The 24-year-old haD enjoyed a fine start to the season with newly promoted Wolves – so good in fact that a lot of Wolves fans had stopped talking about Barry Douglas. However, that’s all changed now. Now that he’s out, some Wolves fans have been asking for Barry Douglas back. Wolves sold Douglas to Leeds in the summer, despite a standout season for Wolves, and some fans would love to see him back at Molineux. Some fans are saying that even though Jonny is an upgrade, selling Douglas looks really questionable now. Leeds fans will be delighted that some Premier League fans would love to have one of their players back. He’s been one of Leeds’ most consistent performers this season, despite missing some action through injury. As much as they might want him back though, it’s not going to happen. And, the more realistic Wolves fans know that it opens the door to 19-year-old left-back Ruben Vinagre, who joined for £2million from Monaco in the summer.

Seeing the ‘should never have sold Douglas’ tweets now that Jonny is injured, we shouldn’t have sold Golbourne, Friend, Matty Hill or Elokobi either, you know, just in case ? #wwfc

Tbf there’s been plenty of “should never have sold Douglas” tweets all season.

I know you’re not allowed to question Wolves transfer activity these days but even though Jonny is a better wing back than Douglas, it’s times like this that makes selling Douglas to Leeds more questionable. Step up Vinagre #wwfc https://t.co/5y7GTRPPvN
