OPINION

Leeds United have been linked with a January move for Rangers number two keeper Wes Foderingham and the majority of Rangers fans seem happy for him to go, if the price is right.

The general consensus is that would be about £1.5-£2million which would net Rangers a pretty decent profit after they picked up the 27-year-old on a free transfer from Swindon in 2015.

Foderingham was the number one last season but has been displaced by Allan McGregor, who has been in fine form this season.

Number three Jan Alnwick is currently out on loan but due to return in January and the Rangers fans are happy having him as back-up with Robbie McCrorie as the long-term future option.

One fan summed it up in a surprisingly balanced way when he said it’s tough to stand in the way of a reserve keeper. He said if the price was right then Foderingham should be allowed to go and said he’d say “good luck and thanks” to the departing keeper.

If only all fans were that polite.
