A number of Celtic supporters have turned to social media to react in a variety of ways to Brendan Rodgers’ statement on Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi as he confirms the pair have picked up serious ligament injuries.
The Hoops boss addressed the fringe duo in his press conference on Friday, as quoted on the club’s official Twitter account, and revealed that both would be set for a significant spell on the sidelines as the status of their respective injury setbacks was confirmed.
?? BR on injury updates "Unfortunately, it looks like cruciate injuries for both Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi. It's disappointing for them because they've been working hard to get into the team."

The Parkhead faithful had mixed reactions on Twitter, with some expressing their dismay at the duo’s injury blows while others were less sympathetic, stating that they would be the end of their careers at Celtic Park.
COMMENTARY
This is not good news for the Hoops, who have already had their fair share of injury blows this season, but the fans’ reactions on social media suggest there is quite the divide in Glasgow over just how much a blow it is. Obviously neither of the pair were regular starters but they were very much front runners on the fringes of the side, and so to lose not one but two for what seems to be a long period of time is a severe blow. Arzani seems to be the one that fans will miss the most, despite him having played around 10 minutes before being stretchered off, with Kouassi seemingly judged as expendable by the supporters. Still, as much as they think they might not miss them, an injury blow to a starting player will leave them in the lurch, and it will be then that they will be wishing they had their back up talents to call upon.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:
Arzani looked good in the short time he was on, hopefully he can come back stronger ??

Could that spell the end of Kouassi and Arzanis Celtic careers ? Arzani struggling to get in a side who started poorly coming off the back of a world cup imagine him trying to get in off the back of an ACL injury.

Real pity for Arzani, he looked bright the other night. Not what Kouassi’s Celtic career needs either.
Another 2 players on the injured list ? https://t.co/z9LaQyPdC1

Rotten luck for the kid Arzani, terrible injury for a young player. Best off just sending him back to city

Arzani looked decent but Kouassi a liability. The team won’t miss either of them with Christie like a new signing and McGregor playing well in defensive midfield.
