Steven Gerrard is expected to make some changes after a hugely disappointing night in the Europa League on Thursday.

Rangers went down 4-3 to Spartak Moscow and it was all down to some terrible defending – as Gerrard was quick to point out after the game.

He saved most of his ire for Connor Goldson but we think the former Brighton man will be saved from the chop this week.

Instead, Nikola Katic will be the fall guy, as so often this season. He didn’t score an own goal on Thursday night but he played just as badly as Goldson, and looked uncomfortable throughout in Russia.

Joe Worrall should come back in with Gareth McAuley likely to make the bench again as he gets back to match fitness.

Jon Flanagan should be axed too after a terrible performance, with Andy Halliday likely to reprise the role he played in the 2-0 win against St Mirren last week.

Ryan Jack must come in. He was missed in Russia and should take the place of the wasteful Lassana Coulibaly. The rest of the team should stay the same, with Glen Middleton impressing out on the left in place of the injured Ryan Kent.

Here is the starting XI we expect Gerrard to put out on Sunday at Ibrox:
