Wolves must shell out £8.8million if they want to sign Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne in the January window, according to Sporx

The Turkish outlet report that Wolves are interested in a deal for the prolific Senegal international, who has 12 goals in 12 games so far this season.

Sporx claim that Kasimpasa, who are sitting in third in the Turkish Super Lig, will not entertain any offers below their £8.8million valuation of the 27-year-old.

Good move for Wolves?

Absolutely.

Wolves have played some wonderful football this season upon their return to the Premier League, but goals have remained an issue for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Raul Jimenez has led the line capably at points, but they do really need a lethal goalscorer if they are to become a force in the top-flight.

Diagne, with his colossal 6ft 4in frame [Transfermarkt] looks perfectly suited to the Premier League, and his red-hot form this season makes this one a no-brainer at £8.8million.

Likely to happen?

It looks like Wolves are genuinely interested in the 27-year-old giant, but whether they will turn that into a concrete bid is yet to be seen.

In Premier League terms a fee of £8.8million is peanuts, so you would think a swoop is likely at that price.
