Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to Cardiff on Friday looking to bounce back from their most disappointing result of the season so far, and Nuno Espirito Santo must make three changes to his starting XI.

Wolves welcomed Huddersfield to Molineux on Sunday with very few expecting anything less than a win, but Nuno’s men were outplayed by the Terriers in a damaging 2-0 loss.

The Bluebirds, who sit second-bottom in the Premier League table, are also coming in on the back of a loss and will be looking to secure just their third victory of the season on Friday.

In goal, Rui Patricio must retain his place.

A back three of Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady and Willy Boly must also remain in place, with that trio having impressed all season long.

At wing-back, Matt Doherty and Ruben Vinagre must both keep their places. Teen sensation Vinagre had a rude awakening last time out against Huddersfield, but has the talent to replace the injured Jonny Castro with ease.

One change must come in midfield, with Morgan Gibbs-White replacing Joao Moutinho, with the rarely-seen teenager putting in another impressive cameo to press his claims for a start against the Terriers. Ruben Neves keeps his place alongside.

Another change comes in attack, with speed demon Adama Traore also being rewarded for a promising substitute with a start in place of the ineffective Ivan Cavaleiro, while Helder Costa and Raul Jimenez keep their spots.

Despite their loss against Huddersfield shaking their confidence, this is a Wolves XI which has more than enough to crush Cardiff and get their season back on track on Friday evening.
