The focus at West Ham will currently be upon the hectic winter schedule ahead, and beyond that the January transfer window.

The upcoming market offers Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini a chance to address some glaring issues with his squad, namely up front and at left-back.

While the club will be busy compiling a list of potential January targets, Pellegrini will also be thinking more long-term, with the Chilean in the midst of a project which will hopefully last several years.

And, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, one player he is eyeing up for a summer switch is Inter Milan youngster Yann Karamoh.

The 20-year-old France youth international is currently on loan in Ligue 1 with Bordeaux, where he has reportedly attracted the attention of the Hammers and their London rivals Arsenal.

Karamoh has had a tough time of things since his move to Inter from Caen in 2017, with the youngster making just 18 appearances for the club in his time there.

The Ivory Coast-born player actually joined the Italian giants on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy in 2019, but it looks like Inter may in fact offload him straight away.

If that does indeed happen, then West Ham are on course to pull off a masterstroke if they snap up the 20-year-old speed machine.

Despite his unfruitful two years at Inter, Karamoh is a real talent with the potential to go on and become a world-beater if developed in the right environment.

Karamoh needs a manager who will take him under his wing and trust him, something which Pellegrini would be more than willing to do.

His versatility will give the Hammers more flexibility in attack, and give Pellegrini an option in several positions, something which always comes in handy.

TMW report that Inter could let Karamoh leave for around £13million, which is an absolute bargain considering his age and potential.

West Ham must now lay the groundwork to make such a move happen when the summer rolls around, with fans sure to be off their seats at the London Stadium if the 20-year-old does arrive.
