England enter the break at 0-0 against Croatia in their crucial UEFA Nations League encounter on Sunday, and many international fans have taken to Twitter to slam Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier.
The Three Lions had the better of the opening period against their World Cup vanquishers, with the attacking trio of Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford causing problems.
Some of Twitter have been reacting to the action in the first half, with many singling out Spurs star Dier for a poor first 45 minutes.

COMMENTARY
These international fans are obviously not best pleased by the selection of Dier or his performance in the first half against Croatia. In all honesty their criticism seems a bit harsh, with the Tottenham midfielder not doing too much wrong in the first 45 minutes. He may not be the most creative presence in midfield, as pointed out by many of these supporters, but he does offer stability and power in that area. His partnership with Fabian Delph looked to be working nicely, with some really slick link-up play at points in the first half. It seems to be a theme that Dier becomes a whipping boy for criticism whenever he plays, for both Tottenham and England, and that seems to be what has happened here. Fans should instead start to analyse his displays on an individual basis, while also realising that he is not in the side to bring creativity.
An #England Midfield of Dier, Delph and Barkley ……
Hardly screams creativity and guile.
It's clear Mr Southgate has favourites… Every England fan knows that playing your favourites doesn't win tournaments.

How is Eric Dier getting anywhere near the starting XI. Just an oaf drifting around in centre mid.
