Tottenham Hotspur are in the hunt for Wolfsburg forward Josip Brekalo, according to Calciomercato.
The Italian football outlet report that Spurs are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old Croatia international, who played 45 minutes in their 2-1 loss to England at Wembley on Sunday.
Brekalo, whose preferred position is on the left wing, has scored one goal and laid on two assists in 12 appearances in all competitions for Wolfsburg this season.
The 20-year-old sensation has been dubbed the ‘Croatian Arjen Robben’ [Bundesliga].
Good move for Tottenham Hotspur?
It is hard to say.
Brekalo is obviously a big talent, with the 20-year-old having become a regular for Wolfsburg and broken into a talented Croatia side.
That being said, his numbers are not exactly breathtaking in the Bundesliga, and if Tottenham are to shell out on an attacker, they need to produce.
It is not shared how much Brekalo would cost, but it would need to be a cheap deal to make it worthwhile at this point.

This report does not say anything other than that Tottenham are interested.
And considering the need for reinforcements in other areas of the squad, it would seem unlikely that Tottenham will launch a January swoop for Brekalo.
Maybe such a move will materialise in the summer, but a January switch seems off the cards.
