Tottenham Hotspur have revealed that the traditional golden cockerel has arrived at their new stadium on Tuesday, and many fans have taken to Twitter to react to the update.
As posted on the club’s official Twitter account, the scaled-up replica of the original has arrived at the site of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in preparation for installing on Tuesday.

These Tottenham fans seem pretty excited by the latest update regarding the new stadium, and who can blame them? It feels like an age now they have been waiting for the stadium to open, and with developments like this, that day is surely getting close now. While Spurs have confirmed that it will be opening at some point after the new year, you would think that it would be early in 2019, and that day cannot come soon enough for these fans. The installation of the golden cockerel is something which links this new stadium to their beloved White Hart Lane, and is obviously a touch which has gone down well amongst the fanbase. The club obviously put a lot of thought into it as well, with a press release regarding the direction which the cockerel will be facing at the new stadium. The next step is the installation itself, which will surely happen soon, and then the finishing touches elsewhere on the ground, which will hopefully be ready as soon as possible.
