Manchester City welcome bitter rivals Manchester United to the Etihad in a huge Premier League derby on Sunday, and Pep Guardiola must make three key changes to his starting XI.

City come into this one on the back of a two huge wins – a 6-1 victory over Fulham last weekend followed by a 6-0 drubbing of Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League – and will be confident of dispatching their city rivals.

United also come in on good form having won their last three games in all competitions, including a surprise 2-1 away win over Juventus in the Champions League, and will be raring to go against the league leaders.

In goal, Ederson must keep his place.

In defence, Kyle Walker, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte must all retain their starting spots, while Oleksandr Zinchenko must be axed in favour of assist king Benjamin Mendy at left-back.

The midfield trio of Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Fernandinho must also remain in place, with those three clicking so well in that area recently.

Two changes must come in attack, with Riyad Mahrez dropping out in favour of jet-heeled dazzler Leroy Sane, while Sergio Aguero comes back in for Gabriel Jesus, with Raheem Sterling keeping his spot on the other flank.

This is a City side which has more than enough firepower to destroy rivals United and stop them in their tracks, while also securing bragging rights until the reverse fixture later this season.
