Germany conceded twice in the final five minutes to draw 2-2 with the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League on Monday evening, but many international fans have taken to Twitter to rave about the display of Manchester City star Leroy Sane.
Timo Werner opened the scoring for Germany before Sane doubled their lead, and Joachim Low’s side looked on course for the win before two late goals from Quincy Promes and Virgil van Dijk saw the Dutch through to the Nations League semi-finals.
Fans have now been reacting to the result on Twitter, with many singling out Sane for his scintillating display for Germany despite the disappointing result.

COMMENTARY
These international fans were obviously left in awe by Sane’s display against the Netherlands on Monday, and it is a great shame his performance was not followed up with a win. The Manchester City star was their biggest attacking threat all day long, and has surely now proved to Joachim Low that he was wrong to leave him out of the World Cup squad. That decision attracted so much criticism during the summer, and Germany’s early exit from the tournament was likely enough to vindicate the City winger. His form for his country in recent weeks has really driven that home now, and he is unlikely to ever be left out again. Looking at the bigger picture for Germany however, things are not looking so rosy. Low looks to have lost his mojo and it would not be a surprise to see him sacked or leave the job at some point soon. Things look to have stagnated despite their abundance of talent, and a new boss is needed to change that.

Leroy Sane’s best game in a German shirt..He should be the undisputed starter in this German team..Netherlands really not in the game at the moment.
