Everton striker Cenk Tosun has admitted that he has been blown away by teammate Richarlison, claiming that the young Brazilian could end up playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Richarlison arrived at Goodison Park in a £50million deal from Watford in the summer and has hit the ground running on Merseyside with six goals in his first 11 games.
Turkey international Tosun has now given a glowing review about his attacking counterpart in an interview, and made a bold claim about his future.
Speaking to Goal Turkey, Tosun said: “Richarlison is a very young player. There is a lot to learn, but despite his young age, he is so experienced and dynamic and it amazes me that he is that good.
“The road is very open. He is a footballer with the potential to play in the best clubs in the world.”

This is big praise for Richarlison from Tosun, and it is clear that the young Brazilian has made a profound impression since his arrival at Goodison Park. There were countless doubters when the club decided to shell out £50million on his signature, but ever since he scored a double on debut, that number has slowly dwindled. It is interesting to think also that Tosun and Richarlison are now essentially competing for the same spot in the starting XI, with Tosun’s poor form early in the season leading manager Marco Silva to deploy the Brazilian up top. The 21-year-old has now filled that role for the last several games, and that has kept Tosun out of the starting team. The fact he is so gushing about his teammate shows the camaraderie among the squad, and is a really positive sign for anyone involved with the club. Hopefully Tosun finds form soon and the two of them can tear it up together for the Toffees.
