Everton want loan-to-buy Gabigol deal

|

Everton have approached Inter Milan about a loan-to-buy deal for Brazil international Gabigol, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Italian football outlet report that Inter are unlikely to give the 22-year-old another chance when he returns from a loan spell with former club Santos.

TMW claim that Everton have ‘knocked on the door’ to sign Gabigol on an initial loan with view to buy, but Inter instead want to let the Brazilian go on a permanent deal.

Good move for Everton?

Absolutely.

Gabigol is a hugely talented attacker who was hailed as the next big thing in Brazil before his unsuccessful move to Inter in the summer of 2016.

The 22-year-old is coming off an impressive season on loan at Santos, where he scored 17 goals in 34 league matches for the Brazilian Serie A side.

Despite his failed move to Serie A there is no reason to suggest he could not succeed in the Premier League, with his speed and finishing ability standing him in good stead to be a weapon for the Toffees, should they swoop.

Likely to happen?

It looks like Inter are averse to an initial loan deal, but if Everton are the only team that end up seriously interested in Gabigol, then there is no reason why it could not happen.

The Serie A side are obviously looking to offload the 22-year-old in January, and as long as Everton turn their interest into a concrete offer, they have a real chance.
