Everton have taken some great strides under Marco Silva so far this season, but the Toffees are still some way off the top six sides in the Premier League.

All of Silva’s summer signings have looked promising so far, with Yerry Mina the latest to make his debut with a short cameo against Brighton at the weekend.

Attention will soon be turning to the January transfer window and potential additions that could come in, and despite their heavy outlays recently, Everton will no doubt be looking to make some movements in two months time.

One area of concern is up front, with Cenk Tosun failing to impress since his £27million move from Besiktas in January, meaning Richarlison has deputised for the Turkey international in recent weeks.

The potential departure of players such as Oumar Niasse also open up spots in the squad for another attacker, and there is one clear choice who would bring Goodison Park to its feet if brought in.

As reported by Calciomercato, Inter Milan are seeking £17.5million for mercurial Brazil international Gabigol, who has spent the season on loan at Santos in his homeland.

Everton are one of the teams linked with the 22-year-old, and the Toffees would be wise to swoop when they can for a player who was previously dubbed the next Neymar in Brazil.

Despite his struggles in Europe with Inter, the star quality that Gabigol could bring to the Everton attack is undeniable, and he would cause Goodison to erupt with his silky skills and much-improved goalscoring ability.

18 goals for Santos this season tell you all you need to know, while Gabigol is also hugely versatile, being able to play on the wing, in the number ten role, and also up front.

Having him, Richarlison and Bernard altogether at the club would be a huge statement from Silva, who would be bringing some Brazilian flair to the blue half of Merseyside.
