Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on a £35million deal for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson in January, according to The Sun.
The newspaper report that Sarri is keen to bring in attacking reinforcements in January in order to increase competition, with Wilson being the player who has most impressed the Blues.
The Sun claim that a move for Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi would prove too expensive, while Genoa goal machine Krzysztof Piatek is another target.
Good move for Chelsea?
Wilson has been on fire this season for the Cherries, with the red-hot 26-year-old bagging seven goals and registering five assists in 13 games in all competitions.
The speedy forward has been a joy to watch for Eddie Howe’s side, and should he keep up this kind of form until January then there is no reason why Chelsea would not do well to snap him up.
Wilson may not be a world-class striker but he is a player who knows how to score on a regular basis in the Premier League and one who will add something different to the Blues attack.

Likely to happen?
If Chelsea did indeed bid £35million for Wilson it would be hard to see Bournemouth turning that down, no matter how much they want their star to stay on the south coast.
That is a huge amount of money for a club like Bournemouth, and should do the trick for Chelsea if they really want to snap Wilson up.
Whether they do so is however another matter entirely, with Sarri obviously having his eye on several different targets ahead of the window.
