OPINION
Alex Iwobi has been getting plenty of love from Arsenal fans this season, who believe he has become a far more potent weapon under Unai Emery after a few years of treading water when Arsene Wenger was at the helm. At international level, there is great expectation on him to deliver the goods for Nigeria, for whom he as winning his 26th cap in today’s friendly clash against Uganda. Iwobi had a mixed match as the scoreline finished goal-less in the Stephen Keshi Stadium. He did not add to his five international goals before he was substituted after 75 minutes and replaced by Everton loaned-out attacker Henry Onyekuru. Many supporters commenting on the match on Twitter were critical of Iwobi, claiming he did not make a major impact and was guilty of conceding possession too often. In truth, it should not affect whether or not he starts for Arsenal in their Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Sunday. Unai Emery is likely to take far more notice of what condition Iwobi arrives back in, compared to the other attack-minded players in his squad.
Iwobi be like "I must fit into these Okocha shoes o"… Totally confused #NGAUGA

Iwobi as the chief distributor seems to be unable to spread play effectively. Yes he has got some skill but I think he still remains an impact player.

Thoughts HT: Nigeria v Uganda
– Better display compared to the South Africa game
– Still lacking creativity
– Osimhen at the right place at the right time but not converting
– Chukwueze can ball
– Iwobi just on and off#NGAUGA— Topham (@1topham) November 20, 2018
@Brilafm889 #sugarman. Alex iwobi, is he just new problem? I wonder. he should up his game

Iwobi is a good player when he has time and space, but when he doesn't, he is terrible. He can't hold off a challenge and is so in a hurry to offload the ball and as such, many misplaced passes. #iwobi #NGAUGA
