A section of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to hail the transformation of Alex Iwobi under Unai Emery after the team’s 1-1 Premier League draw against Liverpool on Saturday evening.
Iwobi started the match on the substitute’s bench but played a key role after replacing Henrikh Mkhitaryan after 68 minutes of the Emirates Stadium clash.
Many Arsenal supporters commented upon how much Iwobi has improved, with comments including the player “has transformed this season”.

COMMENTARY:
After a few years of treading water under Arsene Wenger’s laissez-faire leadership, suddenly Iwobi is looking like the player everyone thought he could become when he first broke onto the scene. He has always had pace, mobility and skill, but is now starting to add cutting edge and end product consistently to a game that had flatlined for the previous two seasons. In an absorbing clash against Liverpool, Unai Emery opted to start with the greater experience and knowhow of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan on the flanks, but replaced the latter with 22 minutes remaining after Arsenal had gone a goal behind. Iwobi started running at the Liverpool full-backs, even when he was used at left-back late on, and disrupted them as the home side got the equaliser their endeavour deserved. For an attacking player, the Nigerian does not score enough goals – or assist enough either, for that matter – and he has still scored only one goal so far this season. But the signs are he is learning and improving. And that hadn’t happened for quite some time.
Wow!!! I love this new Iwobi!!

Alex Iwobi probably gets the most notice as the most improved player under Emery, but Rob Holding has really grown as well this season. Since coming in for Sokratis, he has continued to impress. Was good again today.

Watching iwobi play since emery got here has fully changed my mind on him, He's actually playing very well now.
Its a stretch, but i think Emery's experience could even turn someone like danny welbeck into a footballer— W34VY (@thekurtdude) November 3, 2018

Great game. Torreira was quality. Holding was decent too. Iwobi has transformed this season. Guy is almost undroppable at the moment.
