Leeds United have confirmed two changes to Marcelo Bielsa’s team for the clash against Bristol City at Elland Road.

The Whites announced the team news via their official Twitter account ahead of kick-off on Saturday afternoon as Will Huffer and Aapo Halme earn their debuts to replace the injured duo Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Pontus Jansson, who started against West Brom before the international break.

Leeds could into the game fifth in the Championship table if Sheffield United can beat Rotherham, while Bristol City will start the day in 13th.

OPINION

Leeds have a huge task ahead of them this weekend. Bielsa’s side has been ravaged by injuries all season but to lose both of his senior goalkeepers over the international break is a big as those problems get. Will Huffer has a huge chance to make a name for himself and potentially kickstart his career, but he is going to be under a lot of pressure to perform in front of the home fans at Elland Road. Leeds really need to win after their heavy defeat to West Brom before the international break. Their attack was limp and their defence was hopeless in that game as Albion strolled to a 4-1 win with minimal possession. Leeds can still go top of the table this weekend though if results go their way and if the Whites can beat Bristol City with so many key players injured then they must be considered as serious promotion contenders. Bielsa has been such an amazing appointment as manager.
