COMMENTARY
It seems like a lifetime ago that West Brom were sinking fellow promotion hopefuls Leeds United with a dominant display on the way to a 4-1 win but finally, after a two week international break, the Baggies are back in action.
Like many of us, manager Darren Moore will have been counting down the days until domestic football returned and for good reason, for he will not want to lose the momentum that was picked up against Marcelo Bielsa’s men a fortnight ago.
It was a brilliant team performance and one which really stamped their credentials as promotion chasers – and with a clash against bottom of the table Ipswich Town on Friday night, three more points will be on the mind of everyone at West Brom.
One thing which fans will have been waiting to see is the team news for the clash at Portman Road – the Baggies confirming their line up on Twitter – and it had many supporters delighted as Hal Robson-Kanu kept his place in the side.

The hitman is not everyone’s cup of tea at the Hawthorns but his performance against Leeds appears to have turned a couple of heads – at least until he struggles in front of goal again.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:
Good team. They all played so well against Leeds. Fairplay keeping Kanu in the starting 11. He was excellent last game.

Fair play kept a winning side happy days pleased tbh ? HRK probably deserves to keep his place after his 1 good game in his last 50 ?

Not sure what’s better about this. Unchanged team or the new graphic ??
Huge decision not to start Gayle but HRK was quality v Leeds and deserves to start #WBA https://t.co/ZLnO1NQtOz

I have to say I love he has kept a winning team. It would send the wrong message if he dropped HRK. Essentially it would tell the fringe players that no matter how well you play you're back on the bench when everyone is fit.
Really hope HRK can have the same impact.

Yup. I’m just unconvinced about what Rodriguez actually does. I’m sure HRK will revert to type soon however

However, one fan was not impressed with the decision, calling it “farce”:
Kanu has 1 good game so we start him over gayle… what a farce
