A section of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to tear Scott Sinclair to shreds for his performance in the 0-0 draw with Livingstone at the Tony Macaroni Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Sinclair, 29, squandered several golden chances to help the Bhoys earn all three points at Almondvale but the English attacker’s finishing was miles off what you would have seen from him a couple of seasons ago.

Many Celtic supporters were furious with the ex-Manchester City attacker on social media, with one urging the club to “sell” him because of how bad he was on Sunday.

COMMENTARY;

While it would be a massive over-reaction to sell Sinclair just because of a poor display against Livi, he needs to massively improve on his form because right now, the Englishman only seems to play well off the bench. Sinclair was amazing in his first year at Parkhead but went off the boil last season and has only played well on the odd occasion this term. It just highlights why he was such a flop in the Premier League for his spells with Man City, Chelsea, West Brom and Aston Villa – he just isn’t cut out for playing with a top-level team on a regular basis. It is becoming more and more apparent that he was a one-season wonder but when called upon, he can be a good impact substitute for Celtic. Brendan Rodgers may want to drop him in the near future and hand someone like Lewis Morgan a start in his position, or get Callum McGregor back on the left wing as soon as Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham are back.
