OPINION
Chris Sutton has caused a commotion on Twitter – again – after getting a whole bunch of Celtic fans talking after he took to Twitter to deliver his verdict on Rangers’ 0-0 draw with Villarreal. One Hoops supporter even went so far to say that Sutton “could start a riot” after he aimed a dig at the way the Gers were unhappy with their Old Firm rivals celebrated winning against them earlier in the season. Sutton had to give some credit to Steven Gerrard’s side after earning a good point against Villarreal despite playing a lot of the game with 10 men, but he still made sure it was a backhanded compliment. That got a section of Celtic fans replying to play down the fact that Rangers drew with a team that is not performing well in La Liga this season. Just because Villarreal are performing worse in La Liga doesn’t make them a worse team than Rangers – they are a much better team. Hearts are third in the Scottish Premiership but Manchester United are seventh in the Premier League. Are Hearts better than United? Different leagues have different levels of quality. Some of these Celtic fans need to grasp that concept.
Good guts from Rangers tonight… if I were them I’d celebrate it??
