A section of Aston Villa fans took to Twitter to destroy Albert Adomah for his performance in their team’s 1-0 win against Swansea City on Saturday.
The winger was named in the first starting XI named by new manager Dean Smith as he lined up on the right flank.
But many supporters were unimpressed with the performance of Adomah, with comments including “get rid” and “I hope he’s gone in January”.
This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets below.
COMMENTARY:
What happened to the Adomah of 2017-18, who scored 15 goals and supplied seven assists and did more than anyone to push the club back towards the Premier League? Villa tried to offload the wide man over the summer and it appears to have had a real effect on his confidence. Certainly, his performance level has dropped considerably. The Ghana international was handed his sixth league start of the campaign by Smith but failed to impress the new manager and was hauled off after 74 minutes in favour of Jonathan Kodjia. In 13 matches in all competitions this season, Adomah has failed to score and he has supplied just a single assist. While the stats of the likes of Jack Grealish aren’t especially earth-shattering, at least the playmaker is always looking to create and make things happen. By contrast, Adomah looks devoid of creativity and appears to have completely lost his mojo.
Nyland pushing out that ball for a corner when it’s six feet wide of the goal post is shocking. If we can sell him in Jan we must.
Adomah has been terrible for a year now, should never be in the 1st team and I hope he’s the 1st gone in Jan, he takes away chances from others.

Nyland can't distribute at all with his feet and Adomah can pass but not cross to save his life, that said from what I've seen on a poor stream you've looked good.

The only things I will say are that nyland and adomah cant pass. Nothing to do with Smiths work. We look like a different team and it’s amazing

Another chance goes begging from Adomah this time. Really need to get this second before we end up doing something stupid…
