West Brom could tear up Jack Fitwater’s loan deal at Walsall earlier than planned, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The newspaper has claimed on their website that Fitzwater, 21, is close to breaking into the Baggies first team while impressing on a temporary deal at the Bescot Stadium.

It is understood that the 6ft 2 (transfermarkt) centre-back was set to spend the entire season on loan in League One, but his impressive form could see that decision reviewed in January.

Good move for West Brom?

It is pretty much the same situation with Harvey Barnes.

No one sees the reason for Leicester to recall the attacker in January unless he is going to be earning first team football on a regular basis, so the same goes for Fitzwater.

West Brom play with three at the back, but aside from those who start every week, Tosin Adarabioyo is the only natural player to fill that position if there is an injury.

Fitzwater could definitely play first team football, but only if there are injuries and suspensions, but the same goes for Barnes with Leicester.

Is it worth it? Probably not.

Likely to happen?

Darren Moore will surely see that Fitzwater is doing well at Walsall and currently there is no place in his first team for him.

If West Brom wanted another centre-back in January they would more than likely buy someone rather than recall a youngster.
